Happy New Year, Reader!

We hope you are relaxed and refreshed and ready to start the new year right.

It doesn't matter how long you've been teaching. Most of us in education spend this time of year reflecting on our goals for the New Year.

By now, you know your goals and your students' goals.

But do your students know THEIR goals?

When you ask your students, ā€ What are you working on, or what are your goals?ā€ they should be able to respond with something like:

  • ā€œIā€™m working on raising my hand.ā€
  • "Iā€™m working on knowing my sight words.ā€
  • ā€œIā€™m working on retelling."
  • "I'm working on my handwriting."

When students know their goals and have strategies for reaching them, they are more likely to focus on those goals when they are working independently or with a partner.

Read more about goal-setting with your students in our blog posts:

Before we go, we have to let you know...

Maybe some of your students have a goal dealing with following directions??

You're in luck!

We just finished a new set of Directed Drawing plus Writing Activities and they are all 50% off through Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Or get them all in a BUNDLE for $14.00.

Now through Sunday only $7.00!

Looking for something to help you reach your goals this New Year? Hit reply and tell us about it.

Happy Teaching!
